Everything you need to know about eligibility, admission quotas, and fee structures for joining our programs.
1. Eligibility
Eligibility Criterion for Admission
- check_circle Candidate must have passed H.S. (10+2) with subjects of physics, chemistry, Biology and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks for the General category and 40% the S.C./S.T./Physically Handicapped in Science from a recognized board.
- check_circle Selection of students for admission to the College of Agriculture shall be made by the Joint Entrance Selection Board duly constituted by the State Government.
- check_circle No student shall be allowed to be admitted to the ICAR model course curriculum for B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture course until he/she completed the age of 17 years.
- check_circle In Service Departmental Candidate should have minimum 40% Marks with combination of Physics, Chemistry, Biology in qualifying H.S. (10 + 2) Examination and Maximum age limit is 45 years.
Important Instructions for the Candidates:
- The application form is to be completed in all respect. Incomplete applications are liable to be rejected.
- Candidates should attach the attested copies of the required documents in support of their candidature. No document/certificate once submitted with the application shall be returned.
- The document/certificate/information furnished after the closing dates shall not be entertained.
- If the applicant gives any wrong information in the application, his/her application shall be rejected. If the admission is secured on the basis of wrong information furnished, it would be cancelled as soon as the mistake is detected at the cost and risk of the students.
- All admission shall be provisional.
- There should be no cutting /overwriting on the form of application and all entries must be made by the candidate himself legibly. The columns not applicable to a candidate should be crossed.
- The candidates are advised in their own interest to submit their application well in time and avoid dispatching close to last date, as any application received after the last date of submission shall not be entertained under any circumstances.
- Candidates are advised to send their applications under registered cover and procure the receipt or submit the application to the Principal, College of Agriculture.
- The college is equipped with Hostel facilities and it is mandatory for all the students to reside in the hostel during their entire course curriculum.
- An affidavit in prescribed format of U.G.C. in relation to Ant ragging has to be submitted both by the candidate and parents at the time of admission.

3. Admission Quotas & Guidelines
i) State Joint Entrance Board
The State Joint Entrance Board quota shall be filled up from the nomination of the Tripura State Joint Entrance Board for higher education.
ii) State Department In-Service
The selection for admission under State Department In-Service quota is done by the agriculture department of the government from the application received from its employees subject to fulfillment of the minimum criteria for admission.
iii) Reservation
The state Government’s reservation policy is followed for the candidates to be selected through the State Joint Entrance board as well as for In-Service Candidates.
iv) Physical Fitness
Admission shall be subjected to the candidates being medically fit by the University Medical Officer or a Medical Board constituted for the purpose. The selection of the candidates declared physically unfit, will be cancelled.
